ReportGuide Terms of Use

ReportGuide helps users understand medical reports by providing plain-English explanations, summaries, and, where available, AI-generated answers to questions about submitted reports.

You may use ReportGuide only in compliance with these Terms and applicable law.

You agree that you will:

• Provide accurate information when required.
• Upload only documents you are authorized to submit.
• Respect the privacy and rights of other individuals.
• Use ReportGuide for lawful, personal, or otherwise authorized purposes.
• Not attempt to compromise the security, availability, or integrity of the service.
• Not use the service to distribute malware, conduct fraud, or engage in unlawful activity.
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's information or account.
• Not misrepresent AI-generated explanations as verified medical conclusions.

You must not use ReportGuide to make automated decisions about another person that could materially affect their health, employment, insurance, or other important interests without appropriate authorization and safeguards.

AI-generated explanations may contain errors, omissions, misleading statements, or incomplete interpretations. Medical reports can be complex, and their meaning may depend on symptoms, medical history, medications, examination findings, and other information that ReportGuide may not have.

You should:

• Discuss medical reports and test results with your qualified healthcare professional.
• Confirm important findings, interpretations, and recommended next steps with an appropriate clinician.
• Never delay, disregard, or stop medical care because of information provided by ReportGuide.
• Seek urgent medical attention for emergency symptoms or concerns rather than relying on ReportGuide.

Reference ranges and the significance of laboratory or imaging findings may vary by laboratory, facility, patient, and clinical circumstances.

ReportGuide does not guarantee that an explanation is accurate, complete, current, or appropriate for your individual circumstances.

ReportGuide uses AI systems to generate responses based on the information provided and the capabilities of the models and tools used.

You acknowledge that:

• AI responses can be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or inconsistent.
• AI may misread scanned documents, tables, abbreviations, handwriting, images, or numerical results.
• A response may omit important context or incorrectly explain a medical term.
• The service may not recognize urgent or serious findings.
• Similar reports may produce different explanations.
• The availability or behavior of AI features may change over time.

You are responsible for reviewing outputs carefully and obtaining professional advice when appropriate. Do not rely on ReportGuide as the sole basis for a medical decision.

You retain any rights you have in medical reports, text, and other content you submit (“User Content”).

You represent that you have the legal right and authority to submit the User Content and permit its processing for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

You grant Sunriva a limited, non-exclusive right to host, process, transmit, and use your User Content as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, and support ReportGuide, comply with legal obligations, and perform the activities disclosed in our Privacy Policy.

This permission does not transfer ownership of your medical records to Sunriva.

Do not upload another person's medical records without appropriate authority or permission. If you are acting for a child, dependent, or another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you are legally authorized to do so.

You should not submit information that you do not need to use the service.

Your use of ReportGuide is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how information is collected, used, shared, retained, and protected.

By using ReportGuide, you acknowledge that information submitted to the service may be processed by technology providers, including AI providers, as described in that policy.

You should review the Privacy Policy before uploading sensitive health information.

If ReportGuide requires an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activities conducted through your account, subject to applicable law.

You agree to notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate suspected misuse, maintain service security, or comply with law.

ReportGuide, including its software, design, branding, interface, and original content, is owned by or licensed to Sunriva and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by law or authorized by Sunriva, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the service.

You may use explanations generated for you for your personal, informational purposes, subject to applicable law and third-party rights. You may not claim that Sunriva or a healthcare professional has verified an AI-generated explanation when no such verification occurred.

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or restrict all or part of ReportGuide, including individual features, at any time, subject to applicable law.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with every device or document format.

We may introduce paid features or change pricing in the future. Any applicable fees and billing terms will be presented before you agree to a paid service.

ReportGuide may rely on third-party hosting, AI, payment, or other technology providers. These services may be subject to separate terms and availability limitations.

Sunriva is not responsible for independent third-party services to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in this section limits obligations that cannot legally be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ReportGuide is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Sunriva disclaims warranties not expressly provided, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent such disclaimers are permitted by law.

We do not warrant that the service will always be available, that every uploaded document will be processed correctly, or that any AI-generated result will be accurate or suitable for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sunriva and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to the use of ReportGuide.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sunriva's total liability for claims arising out of or relating to ReportGuide or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid directly to Sunriva for ReportGuide during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $100.

These limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not limit liability that cannot legally be limited, including any rights or remedies that applicable law makes non-waivable.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sunriva from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of ReportGuide, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of content that you were not authorized to submit.

This provision does not require you to indemnify Sunriva for Sunriva's own conduct where applicable law prohibits such a requirement.

You may stop using ReportGuide at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the service, create a security risk, or if continued operation is restricted by law.

Termination does not eliminate rights or obligations that arose before termination. Data retention and deletion following termination remain subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any dispute will be handled by a court with appropriate jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer-protection laws and any mandatory rights to bring a claim in another forum.

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from exercising rights that cannot legally be waived.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted with an updated “Last Updated” date.

Where required by law, we will provide notice or obtain consent before changes take effect. Your continued use of ReportGuide after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the agreement governing your use of ReportGuide, together with any additional terms presented for particular features.
